Meet Alyssa

Hey there, I’m Alyssa Trittler. Mama to two beautiful kiddos, a sweet boy and rainbow baby girl.

I began this work in the thick of my own becoming; navigating grief, longing, and the ache for what could be. I felt alone, and I knew I had to create the kind of space I was craving: real, warm, and deeply honouring of every version of motherhood.

Motherhood has been my greatest teacher. From first-time mama challenges during COVID-19, to postpartum anxiety, to the heartbreak of two miscarriages, and the joy of welcoming my rainbow baby, my journey has been full of the beautiful, the hard, and the unimaginable. These experiences shape how I hold space, listen, and honour the emotional complexity of becoming and being a mother.

In session, I show up fully human, usually with a lukewarm coffee, possibly a mystery stain (thank you, toddler life), and always a soft heart. I’m a little chaotic, deeply compassionate, and fiercely present. My approach is shaped not only by lived experience, but also by extensive training. I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Counselor, with specialized training in birth and reproductive trauma, grief and loss, and reproductive mental health through the Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Training Institute. I also draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, embodiment practices, Reiki, and my doula training. Additionally, I have completed the Bringing Baby Home Educator Training through the Gottman Institute, equipping me to support couples in strengthening connection, communication, and partnership during the transition to parenthood. This blend of experience, heart, and training guides how I hold space and support each person who comes into my care.

Outside the therapy space, you’ll find me at the gym, planning meals that make me feel good, walking in nature, or sneaking in small moments of Yoga Nidra to care for my own nervous system. Sometimes self-care looks like hugging an ice pack or doing animal breaths on the floor with my kids; whatever it takes to stay present, grounded, and human.

Motherhood is messy, sacred, joyful, and painful, often all at once. If you’re craving a space that feels more like an exhale than an evaluation, you’re in the right place.

These experiences, combined with my training, guide the way I support mamas and couples. I help families navigate grief and loss, fertility challenges, pregnancy after loss, miscarriage, reproductive trauma, and the profound shifts that come with becoming a parent. I also support couples as they move through these seasons together, offering tools and emotional guidance to nurture connection, communication, and resilience.
